Abraham Lincoln is hailed even today as one of the greatest American president ever. However, he didn’t have it easy because Abraham Lincoln had a very troubled childhood.
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12th, 1809 and his house wasn’t the prettiest of places to grow up. Abraham’s parent Tom and Nancy had a hard time offering Abraham the basic needs, but they nurtured him and imparted the best lessons that helped him ace the journey of life.
In the year 1816, Lincoln moved to Indiana with his parents and slavery was extremely common in this part of America during that time. He got elected to the Illinois state legislature. He mainly championed the cause of having liberty for all. Lincoln went on to be elected to the U.S House of Representatives in the year 1846. During his tenure in the office, he wanted to make some of these idealistic dreams turn true. He was hailed to be one of the most respected lawyers in the state of Illinois and he worked on more than 240 cases and had an impressive winning percentage.
